If you don’t remember from my Instagram awhile back, I make Hannah Everly (fashion queen, check out her Etsy shop for the cutest skirts) various boxes for major life events: surgeries, birthdays, random occasions. It’s a fun way to send love in a distance friendship and to let people far away know they are loved. Recently I have became much closer with one of my cousins in college which we’d never actually connected. But after reconnecting in early January I knew she had to be on my list for “bestie boxes”. So I’m sharing my very knowledgeable #BestieBox expertise today in hopes that some of y’all will enjoy this as well!

The obvious essential to any Bestie Box is food and around Valentines day there should be no shortage of chocolate and sweets. I included a little box of chocolate, chocolate covered expresso beans and chocolate covered Oreos. I also included a bag of raspberry heart gummy candies because they looked adorable and let’s be real, I’m a sucker for cute packaging. In addition I threw in heart fuzzy socks because my cousin lives up in freezing northern New York, fun notepad and a cute candle. I’ve found T.J.Maxx, the Dollar Store & Target are by far the best places to #BestieBox shop because you are able to get more for your money and there are always suprising, unique items. (& if they are in college, homeade cookies are also super coveted!! I recently asked a guy friend to something and giving my homeade cookies was a hit!)
