Little Black Dress
“You can always keep it simple with a little black dress.” – My AP English Teacher
If you know me, you’ll know I am not a fan of black. I’m more of a “little navy dress” kind of girl. But after a series of events on back to back weekends I found this super slimming black dress with scallop trim. Suprisingly I picked it up, on major sale at White House Black Market which I always thought was an “old lady store.” Because black isn’t a “normal” color in my wardrobe I was challenged with finding an accent color. Black & pink just looks less elegant but after a few days of searching found these awesome blue drop earrings. My clutch was a random cosmetic bag I found for $5 a few years back, and provided the statement pop this outfit needed. Because of the bright pops, I didn’t feel “emo” like I thought I would in a black dress, I’m not sure my full reasoning why I thought I would, but I did. As always, I wore my gold block heels, which are inevitably dying, but I danced all night without taking them off.
